    War Merrit Knight's Cross

    Hello forum...

I bought this yesterday with some other medals.

I just want to verify if it's original wartime issue.... or a post war restrike from original dies, or just a total fake.

also... what is it worth as is? A local collector wanted it in trade towards other stuff.

It has a nice heavy feel to it.

    thanks for the help. Robert

It's either a post war souval or just a fake. Tom

It's a Souval post-war KVK RK made in silver.

Sold one same as yours to a collector a few years ago for $300. I thought it was fair IMO.

There's one for sale on Thomas Huss website for 395 euros, I'd say 300$ is a fair call

100 $ he's getting it cheap, as Alex will tell you, Souval items like this have become desirable, and so the prices are only going up!!

100$ is definitely a no-go. 300$ is still a very fair amount for an 800 variant of the Souval KVK RK.

                      thanks guys..

I have $400 into the lot below. there are obvious fakes mixed in. It included the War merit cross, which I of course hoped it was good.

this lot came from an old guy (84)... that stopped collecting nearly 40 years ago.

The gold wound badge, SS hat eagle, KUBAN shield, and eagle to the right of it I assume are cheap fakes.

I posted the armbands on another section to see if they are any good.

I think the tinnies are okay. Some tinnies I have never seen before.

This War Merrit cross I will post on Estand. I didn't accept his offer of $100 and have it in my possession. Robert
