Iron Cross 1st Class with case

A good friend picked these up at basically a wholesale price, and I couldn't refuse taking them. The case has a good bit of wear but looks fine to me. The cross is not maker marked, but I noted the curved portions of the frame near the swastika. One of my reference books has this type with an Otto Schickle maker mark, but I figure the EK experts may be able to identify the maker. The center is magnetic. I just want to ensure I didn't get "floched." Thanks for taking a look.

Case looks ok not sure about the cross but it is not Otto schickle . Looks like a Souval to me. But not 100% positive

I'd also say Souval, but not sure wartime or post-war.

Thanks for the observations. I'll educate myself on Souval EK's; maybe take this one to MAX or SOS and have some of the experts examine it in hand.

I would be inclined to judge this as a war time produced Souval specimen The pin does not show signs of the post was vertical scratch .
