EKII - Schickle brass

Hey guys,
A couple of months ago I got this piece. The year 9 finds a small scratch. It looks like a brass. the core is a brass, really? Is it a rare piece?

Brass core is less common . You have tried a magnet on the core ?
Interesting that your front frame half is rotated 90 degrees clock wise .

Yes, It is a magnetic core.
Some the brass core is a bad condition. My piece is very well preserved. Really?

Yours is very good condition . Magnetic core is regulation type .
Early on the iron cores were well treated/coated to keep them from rusting .
Brass cores always had problems with paint cracking and chipping .
