Been stumbling around on this one .... that high reverse date ??
As a guess other wise would go with a Rettenmaier .

        Thanks, Douglas!
        Could it be a "Walter & Henlein"-cross?

        Best, Peter

It's Walter & Henlein in my opinion.

I had looked at that also .
              I thought all had to have 2 o'clock flaw and a low/regular sitting 1813 ?
The file sample I have - or are there 2 different reverse cores ?

Not all have the flaw, but this one has. It has a tilted frame and the flaw is visible in the right side of the upper arm

The core is not the low and shallow that I usually see on W&H, but the flaw makes me quite certain.

Many thanks for taking the time to ID my cross, guys!
The cross was accompanied by a "Walter & Henlein"-packet and came directly from a privat source. So maybe the cross really once had been delivered with this packet.

                  With best wishes, Peter

                    That is possible .
W&H were on the list quit early - different core probable .
More than one envelope is known .
