    Refreshing Petz & Lorenz EK1

I have had a couple Petz & Lorenz crosses but they were always in bad condition. They were just prone to paint loss and don't usually survive well.

I just picked this nice one up and while it isn't gorgeous for an Iron Cross it is gorgeous for a Petz & Lorenz cross.

Very nice P&L, you don't see too many in that condition .

      Very nice indeed
Non magnetic bases are very prone to paintloss.

Looks like it has been repainted though. I can see on the right arm parts where paint flaked off and was painted over.

              Hi Rich,
I don't think it's a repaint. Here's a blowup of that area. These P&L crosses have that strange fish scale surface that can look really deceptive.

Please give me your opinions everyone. If you think it's a repaint let me know.

                  Hi

With that close up, I agree, not repainted.[emoji106] Congrats!

A nice rare bugger! I wonder what type of paint they used or what they did wrong in their production steps.

                        Thanks a lot guys!

Here's one last shot of her. It doesn't really show the surfaces up close but it shows the black a little better.
