EK2 with frontal frame broken - Opinion?

    Hello Guys,
I bought this EK2 some weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. The frame is broken in the front.
    I don't know, Is it a good EK2?
    Regards,
    Schmidt

      Interesting flaw .
An unmarked S&L with a lot of bead die cracks starting .

I have 2 Juncker long flaw crosses with a split frame .
They are more minor than yours but at the bottom corner . One is worse (longer) than the other .

            Hi Guys,
            Is it common in EK2?
I had some EK2 in my hands and I never saw something as it...
Does it occurs only with S&L and Juncker? Or all manufactures?

Hí I think the material is too thin possible but IMO was too much pressure and the material broken.

this is a a interesting piece ,because this is strange to me ,because not total the patterns size neither.

Yes William : a flaw does or can happen to any maker . In house inspection and quality control usually catches all of these bad frames .
The odd marginal frame might get through and still be used - but more a rare thing .

Why is this ? - ... as Sanya pointed out the medal is too thin .
2 ways this can happen : too much pressure and or misaligned 2nd strike .
I do see evidence of a 2nd strike - where the frame moved . Looks like frame was pressed or pulled up ?

Yes William .... strange flaws do occur .
Here is one another one I meant to show .
                  A W&L EK 2 with a good front half --> but used a severe mis-cut reverse frame .
