Iron Cross 2nd class (dug find) , your judgement

    Hello everyone,

I need your opinion about this Iron Cross. The seller says it's a dug find..
So, genuine or fake ? Because... hmm.. I like it.

Sorry if the quality of the pictures is not awesome. I don't have better.

    Thanks for your help

A ground dug item ... does not look like it . Core would be badly rusted .
The paint pealing - more stored improperly ?
Has signs of being a S&L type .

Actualy, I don't know if it's a dug find but this guy is selling other dug find bagdes and medals. So, I was supposing it.
        You think it's a genuine one ?

I don't think this EK2 was dug up. After 70 years in the ground cross will be look diffrent.

            Best regards

And how you can recognize if this cross is a S&L type or not ?

The inside and outside corners mainly - and the date .

                        Thanks,

I'm impressed how you guys can recognized the maker of a cross by observing just two photos..
And yes, you are right ! I checked the cross and I found the number 4 engraved, the code for the factory S&L as I read.
