    Knights cross value?

Hello collectors. I have been considering getting an mint knights cross that is boxed. My question is what value do they bring in near mint to mint condition? Can I expect at least a 5 digit value or have prices declined? Also what would your favorite maker be if you were collecting knights crosses? Martin

Prices vary depending on the maker. The 65 marked pieces seem to command the lowest prices, while Godet and Zimmermann command the highest. In order I would think, from most costly to least:

    Godet
    Zimmerman
    Juncker lazy 2
    Juncker 800 dot
    Juncker L,/12
    3/4 loop unknown maker
    Steinhauer and Lueck
Klein and Quenzer no 65 loop mark
Klein and Quenzer loop marked 65

This is just my opinion and others may see it differently.

Hey Bob, a good list, but don't forget Otto Schickle. I wonder if the S&L can be split out with micro 800 vs let's say a '935 4' marked cross?

          Bob,

I would put the 3/4 ring RK right next to Zimmermann.

It all depends , in order of priority:
            1. to whom the grouping awarded to . Note the cost an extensive grouping to an unknown soldier can not match one single medal to a very famous personnel.
            2. what consists in the grouping?( Be aware of make-up grouping too)
BTW, if you have a named medal, make sure you have the necessary documentary proof since most Third Reich medals have no serial number. KC document is difference as it is named.
