    Comprehensive Lists of EK Recipients

All, is there a fairly comprehensive database of EKI or EKII recipients from the Second World War, or one that is partially comprehensive? I realize the number alone is staggering, but I was curious.

    Thanks,

    Don

The answer is No! Since the actual award numbers for the Heer and Waffen-SS up until 12 March 1945 were published in 2013 (International Medal Collector, Vol. 3, No.4) it must be pretty clear that there will be no list of more than a quarter million EK1 recipients and more than 2,3 mill. for the EK2. Additionally, the award procedure itself makes it completely unrealistic. We can be happy to have at last some resiliant numbers after decades of free-hand fabulating by a multitude of "authors."

There is this one that's run by one of our members here. At around 6000 EK1 recipients to date it, has a looooong way to go but it's a start.

Do you know how to get an recipient added to that database?

I got an attributed DKiG from a LW member, that also got the RK Posthumous, and I can't seem to find him in the database.

Info of the man and when he got his DKiG:
          <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=2>Rank: </TD><TD>Oberleutnant </TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=2>Unit: </TD><TD>1.(F)/Nacht-Aufklärungsstaffel </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>Received on: </TD><TD>10 November 1942 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
