EK1 Spange review

I found this the EK1 spange
Very similar a Deumer pattern (the first side ),but IMO this is a copy.

What do you think about it ?

Sanya, what is its measurements? I can't make out the pebbling in the center but the date box pebbling looks good. Jim

it could be a good L/11 with a replaced pin etc, but more likely a cast copy…

I agree with you and Jon Sanya...Looks like a casting for me as well: wide catch, blunt pin, the hinge looks like its cast as part of the badge, some details are weak or blurry and this isnt just your typical later Deumer with the "beard" flaw here: this bird looks rabid and seems to be foaming at the beak as well

Considering Deumer spanges are probably the most common type around I would leave that one to be "enjoyed" by someone else...
