the seller sent me this:
This Iron Cross has passed every test that can be applied to an Iron Cross including a 'silver content test' - and our fellow experts have also confirmed it's authenticity, including one with 40yrs experience. All the Iron Cross DNA we've found so far and the reference works that we have, all agree. Nothing that I have managed to find so far questions it's authenticity - and I do check extremely thoroughly, which is why it's marked as "currently being researched".
My experience with fakes tells me that when they arrive they arrive in quantity - if you could show me another that might help sway my opinion. We have seen similar examples held by reputable dealers before, but not for some time.
