    Hello,

here are some pictures of a knights cross with ribbon .

Could it be an "Otto Schickle" ?

    Please your opinion about it.

    Best regards

Would love to see some better pictures.
                Cross for sure looks promising.
Stamp doesn't look very well executed or is it only the pic?

The 800 stamp is not original IMHO - or this is the very first pre-LDO Schickle with a silver frame and an 800 stamp. IMO somebody with a lot of "knowledge" wanted to make it "better", not knowing anything about Knights Crosses at all.

Another nice piece of information regarding Schickle would be whether the core is iron or not.

I tend to agree with you Dietrich!
I wonder what kind of fool would pimp up a genuine Schickle with an 800 mark.
In modern days that seems unlikely as everything is so well documented.
Perhaps in the early days of collecting somebody thought a genuine knight's cross should have an 800 mark. Cannot find another explanation. Fact is that the stamp looks very sloppy and i wonder what caused the deformation on the uppper part on of the obverse.

It also looks like an attempt was made at stamping a "2" off to the side if the 800. Or could just be a blemish.

Any info to whom it should have been awarded?
