    EKII question

    Hello,

Not being a collector to 3rd Reich items means I know very little to nothing about them.

I received this EKII today which is magnetic, one piece and has crap beading.

It looks fake to me but what do you think?

Are you sure about one piece construction?

No I'm not 100% sure. One of the arms looks like it has a join but the others don't, I've just checked the frame it isn't magnetic, the core is though.

I'm by no means an expert, but based on the photos and description, I would say it doesn't look like a repro to me.

I think that cross is ok.

            Cheers.

              Looks OK to me.

Nice die flaw on both frames at 12 O'clock which should make it readily identifiable re: maker. Is it a Deumer?

              Regards ...

Thanks for all the comments and I must say I am surprised. I thought I had a duff cross when I opened the envelope.

The die flaw is on the obverse and reverse and can clearly be seen from a mile away in thick fog. I don't like it much though, so I might end up sticking it on the e stand.

                  Cheers

Tony, I don't know if I'd get rid of it. It's very unusual with that die flaw, and check out that 3. It seems like I've seen this type of cross before, but I'll be damned if I can remember where.

                    Definitely different.

Anybody got any ideas on the maker of this cross? I admit, it's got me curious with the die flaw and the 3.

                      George???

Jim, I think it reminds you of the ek1 StefanK. posted a while ago.
It had the same odd curvature of the arms.
I donĀ“t know how to link to it, but it was posted a few weeks back.

                        Regards,
                        Ben

need to keep this three 'variant' under wraps lest the price goes

You know, I really like this rough little cross. Lots of character.
