DKIG opinions please?

Hi,

Not my area, a friend came at a fair to me today with this cross and asked if he should buy it, i said no as the needle reminded me of postwar Souval crosses and quickly took some pictures. Ill put them up for review here. Id appreciate more opinions.

Thank you for your replies and confirming what i thought. Im a political collector and haven't had a DKIG before, it just didn't feel right. Ill show the topic to my friend.

Facinating cross actually. The needle does look "souval" and the smaller star burst looks the colour of some postwar S&L DKs. The larger starburst looks like it has the Souval missing ray flaw, but the wreath seems to match neither. Oh, and its SS.....Run!!
