KC which might be a S&L

A friend of mine has sent me these KC pictures to get an opinion. What do you think? To me from what I have seen in Dietrich's bible it looks like an S&L cross (bolt shape of the beading) and rather an "A type". Perhaps it's coming from the picture's angle but the dates numbers (especially the "8" doesn't look like it is supposed to be on an S&L KC).

    cross

Hi the cross is a S&L cross .It looks to have a dent row on it 3:00 bottom arm or am I wrong? Can you get a close up of the dent row? I seen the numbers but I think it is the angle of the picture . Cliff

I can't see the knee flaw of an A-type, but there might be the dent row of a B-type. Please provide close ups of the 3 o'clock arm and the area between the 6 and 9 o'clock arm.

          I agree, it's an A-type IMO.

This cross is up for auction in France. According to the auctionhouse it belonged to Friedrich Körner JG27. There is much more up for auction from Körner, as his 57 RK, papers, photos etc. Körner was awarded the Knight's cross in Canada while being an POW.

No knee flaw on 6 o'clock arm and I think I see the knee flaw on the 12 o'clock arm. To me A-frame with pickled frosting, very nice patina

I am the new owner of this KC and other Koerner items...Its a beautiful and historical piece.
Its a nice Type A S&L with patina. Almost unworn condition as Koerner received this KC as a POW in Canada.

                    Heres part of the grouping.

                        Hello,
a superb cross! One of the best. But I hope the case is not an early post war case, it looks a little bit like.
Do you have better pics of the case?
In the auction Körner had an early 1957 cross...
                        Regards alex
