      Hi Brian,

      Glad to see you picked this goblet up, It is a really nice & unique piece with a great history/background and one that I thought of adding to my collection. At least I now know where it is located

          Thanks I thought so too. Some people poo pooed it because it is so unique. And an obvious period piece. Cups got balls! All the right stamps.


          I would only say to them, take a piece of silver to an experienced and competent engraver and say, "make this happen." Cost of engraving would be way over a thousand dollars today.


          Tim had a cup engraved for me, an NJG cup, just a few letters and numbers, over one hundred dollars. Hand engraving is hugely expensive and as someone else said it's great it's hand done and not some stamp into the silver.


          I like it and just pretend it's Luftwaffe.
