    Strange Wsc 1st Class

DIRECTLY OUT OF THE VETERAN'S SCRAPBOOK, HERE IS AN EARLY WAR SERVICE CROSS FIRST CLASS WITH SWORDS. HE REMOVED THE PIN, FLATTENED THE CATCH AND LACQUERED THE CROSS SO THAT IT WOULD NOT TARNISH. STRANGE CONSTRUCTION TO ME. COMMENTS?

Still, an original piece. I wonder if he kept the pin. I think these modified items speak volumes. I understand their value is affected. Thanks for posting, Ron.

We drill real hole. We'll be in the Didsbury/Three Hill area all summer making hole.

Maybe so the owner could use tacks to pin them to a wall mount ??
