          The earliest type of Schickle are their Schinkel pieces.

          All crosses from Schickle are early, due to that they got their liscence to produce EK's withdrawn in mid-1941.

          But I'd would say this cross you have is from around ~1940.

            Yes - nice Otto Schickle ;
            Also found with a larger core and wider frame ( on the right) .

              We have 2 type of core of Schickle's EK2-1939 crosses.
              The diagnosis determines the appearance of the number "3" in the date of the 1813 of the core.
              Crosses with core of type 1 and type 2 occurring with magnetic and non-magnetic variant of the core.

              Otto Schickle produced their crosses until June 1941 to the withdrawal of the license.
