Question on clamshell EK 1's

Ive been gaining knowledge on EK's lately and one thing Ive noticed is that I have yet to see a EK 1 clamshell variant in its original issued case . If there was such a case then the insert hole for the clamshell in the case would be larger than a conventional EK screwback .
Can you guys give me any insight into this topic ?

That is correct .... the bottom of the case has a larger round depression for that disk to sit down into .
There are different disk sizes - so you need the matching case .

Probably a big ask because of their rarity , but can anyone out there post a photo of a 1939 clamshell variant in its original case . Thanks Vic
