I'm a uniform/ headgear collector but had a
chance to snag this badge. I'm a little out
of my comfort zone but took a roll of the
dice. I think it is a Zimmermann. Please
feel free to give me your opinions.

T P , I don't have a scale so I can't weigh it. I
guess I might have to break down and
invest in one. It appears weight is also
a key factor in determining originality !
Is there is chart available with maker/ weight
correlations ?

It's just a matter of different weight in grams between the 'heavy' and the 'light'.
I should weigh mine, but at a guess, and everyone can feel free to correct me, but I believe the 'heavy' is around 64 grams and the 'light' is 44???

Yes, correct for "light" but more like 67 g for "heavy", according to Dietrich M's book on the subject
