The stiching looks like on the postwar ribbons imo. Just because it is postwar doesn't mean it would be UV positive.

UV positivity means roughly said synthetic ribbon, but like with iron crosses fakers are ready to go far and they used unsynthetic/UV negative thread to make it.

Just like with fake cloth items, SS runic tabs as example, the good fakes are UV positive but they can still be IDied from stiching and other things.

Shortly: why could not a fake ribbon be made of UV negative thread?
It is the stiching that gives it away. I have seen these kind of stiching before in fakes. Fir example I have seen many imperial fakes and original awards mounted on fake bars with ribbons that have this stiching.
Fake ribbons can be identified just by pics.

                    Hi

I have many ribbons bought as postwar reproductions, which are UV-negative.

But this ribbon could be original, just made by another manufacturer as the first one. There are many originals in unused condition on the market, coming from old stocks. No problem to buy them for 8-10 euro.

                    regards
                    Tomasz

I personally really dislike the stiching at the edge of the ribbon. That stiching on the edge is what I usually see on postwar ribbons and fake medalbars. That's the reason why I dislike it.

This ribbon is something I wouldn't buy for my collection.

I used some pictures from the forum to clarify my statement.

With this picture I hope I am able to explain what I mean with the stiching that can be found on fake ribbons.
This kind of stiching is what I usually see on fake medalbars, fake crosses that have ribbons and overall fake ribbons. Can easily be spotted from pictures.

However this is just my opinion, here is my evidence I lean my opinion on.

I'm only ready to change my mind about the ribbons originality, when I get to read or see the counter evidence you lean your opinions on.

                          Best regards,
                          Daniel

Still a fake ribbon IMO .

The ribbons have to have real end loops .
The side view really helps . Most cameras do not let you focus that fine .

All ribbons have post war production . The book trick works nicely .

                              Original EK2 ribbons :
The black thread is always thicker .

A horizontal set up loop line the rest - the rest of the ribbon is woven independently around/onto it .
Fake ribbon - the black horizontal strands are part of the wave and need to be pulled tight to hold the other strands in place .

The originals below show the lose end loops well . The 2 main weave types .
