Thanks for your answer. I do not have the spange in my possession, so I can't do a closer Photo of the front. I have tried to zoom in on the spange on the Photo i have, hope it helps....

As far as I know it's unmarked on the back. I'm a bit suspicious about the envelope, I think it looks too blue and like new condition....???

Hi,

it looks as "short wing" fake, with distinctive space between 9 and 3. Envelope is total phantasy. As the fellow said before , Moritz Hausch didn't produced Widerholungsspange.

The short wing spange does exist as there is a photo of it in wear. Although who made it is unknown it is thought to have been produced by Deschler. Here is a photo of mine for you to compare against. I am also going to show a envelope stamped Deschler. Jim

Sure, original "short wing" exists - but was also faked. Pictures of this forgery are in the GCA database.

Anyway, agreed that it is not easy to be sure without "en face" pictures

Hi Guys

I'll try to get a better Photo of the eagle from the seller and post if possible... But, when the envelope is fake and there is suspicion about the spange, I think i'll keep my hands off it..

Jim, how does the prongs look like on your short wing spange...???
