Looks like a wide frame for a 24 ... the number is quit small here .
The number 24 normally barely fits on the ring as it is very large ?

This Hanau maker used a wide frame (usually it appears patinated in a dark color, like this one) and during the soldering process covered with flux the outer edges, so the solder is seen in the thickness of the cross (if you are not aware of it, you'll think it has been resoldered, but not: it is the original soldering).
Thomas, could you check it in your cross?

Douglas, you are right, this number seems smaller than usual...but I think that it is genuine.
And this maker is known too for the use of control marks.

Here is a shot. The cross on the left is a regular 24.
                Best regards Thomas.

It seems a different thickness...could you measure it? Anyway it only means different times in the production timeline.
Both are with solder around the seam, are they?

It's a period authentic 24 in my view.

                    Regards,
                    Stu
