Screw Back EK1 Souval - Opinion

    Hello Guys,
One friend sent to me this EK1. I don't like Souval itens, but...
Is it a good EK1 pré-1945? Or have we doubt?
    Regards,
    Schmidt

To be honest I don't know what to make of these Souval screwbacks.

I don't think anyone has ever made a convincing case that they are postwar so as far as I know they are currently considered wartime EKs.
      Best regards,
      Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

          1939 Souval EK1 screwback

I've been collecting for many decades and never heard or read of anyone doubting these were wartime pieces.

Souval made literally every medal in every form postwar, so I have no doubt they made screwbacks postwar.. We probably still dont know how to look for them

IMO these screwbacks are wartime with no doubt...but I recognize Souval is controversial, and this name means a polemical issue.

It's a rather nice example of an authentic pre May 45 piece in my view.
