I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if this DKIG is authentic and if it being black border would it be for SS/Panzer?

I am sorry to disagree, but in my opinion this is a reproduction.

I do not like the way the swastika is formed, the fabric used for the white field or the wreath overall. The wreath is lacking in detail. The starburst is not quite right either.

Note the four round retaining pins that are visible in the reverse shot - a bad sign.
