    German Cross in Gold opinions please!

    Hi Gents

    A friend of mine has asked me to post these pics for him. Please can he have your opinions Good or Fake?

      I don't like it at all!

      Looking at it from the reverse I notice that the "rays" do not
      match-up in many places....The 'quality' of the workmanship
      just isn't there!

      Looking at it from the front I notice that the "rays" do not
      line-up & in the one's I've owned over the years I always had
      the piece that had the "rays" lining-up. I would not buy it!

                the date, hinge and catch, should weigh about 53,0g and have dimensions of about 64/64 mm

                      Does it have the 57's scratch in the pin's head?...if so, possibly it would be a postwar S&L.

                          It's obviously an S&L .. but post war? ... as with this maker it is always the Million Dollar Question whether it is post war or not. Most believe these are.

                            Once again thanks for the help on this Gents. I am not a medal collector please could someone post a pic of the 57'Scratch so I can ask my friend what to look for.
