color of this DKIS being questioned

    Hello all,

I seem to be having a debate on facebook about if I have a German Cross in silver on the right. I have a guy telling me it is a gold example, which I disagree.

This is a published example and it was published as a silver.

Do I have two gold examples here or one gold and one silver by Zimmerman?

1x gold, 1x true silver grade.
The guy probably thinks it's a faded gold grade because the tombak peeps true on certain places.
Facebook... not the place to discuss third reich items.
    Too many self esteemed experts.

You are right. The Facebook guys most likely have never heard of Tombak. FC is good for entertainment, but not for serious discussions. Sometimes it is outright funny!

yes but unfortunately the guy that made the comment is the owner of this website:

        https://www.team-militaria.de/

        So that REALLY scares me.

and to think, he has gems like this on his website:

I saw your post of this in FB and saw the comments, I do see a good silver one here. I did not just comment as I didn't want to start a big debate over this and because I have some personal twists with the guy who questioned the grade.
I'm a member of several collectors groups in FB, but it is just horrible to post anything there as we have these wannabe experts everywhere and the result is you have to defend every item you post.

The forums are the best for both sales and discussion of these more pricey items. Nice Crosses

I don't know as it appears I've been removed from it for no reason at all.

The guy making the accusations is the admin.

heaven forbid I disagree (and be right)

I never started anything, all I did was post the badge as a silver and the gold as a gold grade.

Heeeeeyyyy.... I'm a FB guy! It is pretty bad when I feel like an expert in a room full of... well... I am not going to talk down toward people. And I am nowhere near an expert! haha. The worst part is when I know something is off and say something- just to be shouted down by folks saying I dont know what I am talking about. It is actually kinda funny.

There are a lot of good people there, many of whom are on this forum, but there are a ton of toolboxes. I guess they keep things interesting...? Ask Mr. Kramer!! lol.

Will- no brainer- DKiS!!! All the way!
