WW2 German Iron Cross Second Class, 1939 Pattern Can anyone ID the maker?

Can anyone ID the maker of the 1939 EK 2?

It's three piece and magnetic.



I cannot find any marking on the ring.




This is a flea-market pick-up from Germany sometime in the early 80's when I was stationed there. The ribbon appears to have had an honor roll clasp on it at one time.

Rudolf Souval made iron crosses during TR and postwar, but their outer corners were of the "claw" type, you have a pinned thread about it.
Your cross has not a Souval frame...just rounded inner corners.
Really, any iron cross with rounded inner corners, if not Souval, is suspicious...and if Souval, may be it's postwar.
Sometimes in good crosses the inner corners was file rounded to clear the space for the swas, but IMO it is not the case and your cross seems a fake.
Anyway you can check any known maker in a database and compare it, like WAF or like EK2-DNA (Stephan's page).
