    EK 1. class for review

Got this Iron cross yesterday not so far from my house through a add in the local paper. Came with a K98 bayonet. I believe it's a real one, not a copy. Any comments?

      Looks like a Klein & Quenzer (65).

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

        Thans Hank.
How can you tell it's a Klein & Quenzer?
        I can't see any markings

The pin, the core, the frame. Do a search for either 65 or K&Q or Quenzer or something like that here in the crosses forum, you'll find more. They had different cores, probably different frames too, the hard-core EK guys can educate you on that. The pin itself is very distinctive, marked or not.

              Thanks a lot, Hank.
You have educated me regarding what I should look for when I'm finding another one in the future.

Yes, a nice early Klein & Quenzer with the 1st core. Great patina, I like it !

It's a beauty. This EK1 would look nice next to my EK2 K&Q.
                        Great find

Always good to see a K&Q, an early, unmarked this time. My favourite EK maker.
