    oakleaves award document

    I am looking for some information related to production of Oakleaves official award documents (Mappen).

    Until when approx are these oakleaves mappen produced and handed over to recipients?

    I havent seen yet an example with a date in 1943.

          Martin,
          First one to Dietel should be 19.7.40.
          No idea about the last one but so far I do not see any later than this Schwerin 's one (17.5.43 ).

                        Everyone,

                        Do not forget that award date, production of the document (Mappe is irrelevant since it was added to the doc later) and the presentation for signature to AH were mostly months if not years apart.

                        I wonder whether anyone has studied that a little closer.

                        I think I have one doc here where the date and signature were at least 5/6 months apart, but have to look in detail when I have more freetime.
