    EK2 Maker

    Hi

I have this unmarked EK2 and due to the flaws inthe ribbing I though it was a Hammer (55) piece but it doesn't appear to match.

Would I be right in saying it is a Lauer (14)?

    Thanks

Going through picture files - I would say you have a Lauer EK2 .

      Thanks Douglas.

It's a bit ironic because for years I had an empty Lauer envelope and separately this EK2 that came in a folded paper sheet with ribbon. I only recently obtained an unmarked Laurer to match with the envelope and unknowning already had one!
      LOL!

Are Lauers prone to rusting cores?

Yes - for some strange reason Lauer cores are prone to rusting - even if core has a wash treatment .
The high gloss paint seams to protect better .
