German Cross in Gold

Somebody proposed me this DKG. I would like to know the opinion of the experts about this medal?

Cross looks OK to me, but not the "engraving".

Nice Deschler german cross in cupal.
More rarely encountered than it's tombak counterpart.
I like the engraving. I'm not sure if it's done wartime or after the war
but i'm think it's related to the recipient and was not added to improve it's value.

Oberfeldwebel Petzel seems to have been a member of the Luftwaffe. Are there any other opinions ?

The cross is a nice original, but the engraving looks new to me, but always tough to tell on that.

I like the cross, but I agree the engraving seems "recent"... Probably though by the recipient after the war and not value adding (in my opinion the value will not be affected, by a name, if not of very high profile).
