    EKI Unmarked/non-magnetic core. Thoughts?

    Hi all,

I have started doing some research on a collection that has been sitting in an attic space for a number of years. Included is this EK I screwback with no makers mark and a non-magnetic core. Looks like a one piece construction (compared to a three piece EK II that is also in the collection). Was purchased in the early to mid-90s.

What do you think? Good chance it is genuine or is it a total dud?

I hope those links work for the pictures.
Thanks for looking. I am pretty dubious myself but appreciate other opinions and input.

I can't find another disc like this and I'm not sure about the core either.

It's a one piece fake. It's said that is a fake made in Poland, may be from there began to be sold.

Thank you all for the responses - I am only now catching up! Like I said I will keep this for reference but what I would really like to find is an EKI with a '44' maker mark.

No chance...there are not wartime original EK1 with 44 maker mark.
