    Hi Jörn,

    I can understand why this thread has flewn under the radar and not attracted any comments, given the enigma of this combo. I assume it's a Steinhauer&luck production which normally wouldn't stand out as odd. The presense of a 1957 version of the WB does not compute though. The enclosed image shows a similar feature and would possibly be explained as a 1957 version, given the 1914 EK2. The only thing that has bugged me is the zinc and the textbook horseshoe-pin.

    Your combo features the same pin, but the presense of a 1939 EK1 in conjunction with the WB doesn't make any sense. St. & L has always been a controvercial producer and this surely doesn't make it easier for us collectors
