          A good one .
Better to look for the " E " - left bottom inside corner .
Some times the frame can be rotated so you might have to look for the E .

Otto Schickles come with different cores ... that one is not a brass wash but actual solid brass .

Douglas is right. Crosses EK2-1939 Otto Schickle we meet with two types of core, here it is one of them

                    There is a bit more core variations - Jarek ;

                    Solid Ni alloy core
                    Solid brass core
                    Brass plated iron core
Iron core with or with out a wash - painted thin swastika
Iron core with or with out a wash - painted regular swastika
                    Zinc core

magnetic and Ni ok ,but IMO not brass only a primer (gold color but magnetic type )

                        Hi Sanya :
Interesting you brought that up about the brass . I went back and looked at my Schinkles .
I had incidentally switched 2 of the 3 labels - but more surprizing I actually had bought that one Schinkle as a not magnetic solid brass core EK2 .

Yes ... re-testing confirms it is somewhat magnetic . The magnetic pull is far less than a standart iron core EK2 -- the coating of the core is probably the reason for this .
Testing the brass layer it is very very thick ... it is definitely not just a thin brass wash at all .... probably a layer of brass ?
I have 2 Ni core just for the different frame dies .

Ignore the solid brass core in the list .

Yes Sanya ... the sample in post 5 I used - Muenster - is different . That is most likely a very thin coating/wash . ... as it fills in all the surface imperfections .
