    1957 RK...Opinions?

    Hi there,

I'm interested in purchasing this '57 Ritterkreuz as a first, any opinions?

    Dealer has described it as:

A 1957 Knights Cross of Iron Cross with Oak leaves The Cross is the late 1980s type and is in vgc (This is the non magnetic centre type and has a poor paint job) and a set of unmarked late production oakleaves.

          Hello

I am assuming that the website these are on (judging by the sellers description) they are priced at £150 GB Pounds. Save your money.

          Regards

Personally, it is a typical late '57 RK and the price is 'about' right, but they are all 'pieces of crap'. I would personally save your money and look for an early one, I was very disappointed when I bought my late '57. The early ones are far closer to <'45 RK's. However, if you do want a late '57 RK you should be able to find one for about £110.00 if you look around.

Darren, you are correct , however, When you all say is it the manufacturing, painting? What essentially is the difference?

Paint on those late ones are realy bad and details on the frames are blured. Not anything i would like in my collection.

Here is a couple of early ones from my collection. I think you can see the big difference in quality.

                Cheers.
