Is that dirt or is it the patina on the spange. How are the prongs affixed, it looks like they are in a slot. Having said that I didn't find it in my collection and have doubts about it being original. Jim

That's is interesting, thank you. It's in not clean condition - the swastika is polished but it does not show on the picture. The prongs are soldered.

Is your spange full size (30mm or thereabouts) or the smaller prinzen size version (aprox 24mm) ?

Not sure if it applies here but I had a prinzen with that same design including the very chararcteristic "roof shingle" looking breast feathering and with a "0" maker's mark (which doesnt exist) and it was identified as a repro (Robit Fake?) a few years back. However the clips look shorter & thinner on yours: they were long and massive on the prinzen I had...

The spange was returned for refund but I kept the attached pictures if they can be of assistance. When the rubber hits the road though trust people who know their stuff like Jim to be sure
