Ek1 case

I recently bought a cased ek1 from Paul Meybauer. The cross is marked L/13 on the pin.

This case does not have the name of Paul Meybauer on it. Others i see for sale have his name on it.

What are your opions on this case? Does it belong to a Meybauer cross?






I also want to collect all medals from Paul Meybauer. Is there somewhere a list of wich medals Meybauer made?

Fine original case.
Sometimes you find Meybauers in unmarked cases.
Nothing strange bout that.
Try finding a sales catalog from the Meybauer firm

I recently bought a cased ek1 from Paul Meybauer. The cross is marked L/13 on the pin.

An L/13 EK1 probably did not originally come in this case because this is an award-type case and L/ marked EKs are private purchase.

But the truth is we really can't know what expediencies prevailed during wartime. Were award-type cases sold? Were LdO EKs awarded? Possibly.

So it's possible that this set was always together, but in my opinion not likely.

So you cant be sure that they belong together. Maybe i should buy a set thats maker marked.

Here two pictures of the cross. The cross is not flat but vaulted.




I searched the internet for a meybauer catalog but cant find it i will keep on searching.
