          Thanks Douglas

It is a not blight, it is a claret color - EK from soil.

In my opinion, a good Souval frame and TR pin setup with a completely fake core.
May be the original core was too rusty and someone replaced it...the frame seems open.
It's just my point of view.

                  IMO it's Souval's post-war EK1 cross.
The core is "borrowed" from the post-war Souval's EK2 cross so called "Souval's Straight Arms cross" (as the pictures below - sorry, the pictures are not mine).

I think the late fake core we are speaking about was never mounted with the Souval TR frame.
The cross in the pictures shows an original TR pin setup used during the war by Souval and Orth.
The quality of the posted images is not very good, but it seems the original iron core nearly disapeared converted in rust (a relic iron cross?) and then the Souval frame was split to insert a new iron core.
Anyway it's just my opinion, I'm open to learn more.

Sorry, I'm not allowed to post pics here...that's the rules.

After the war, Souval used warehouse parts of decorations, the rest of the war, to made new decorations. Missing parts to specific awards, he moonlighted again.
This was the case of the Kriegsmarine medals. That is, in my opinion, and in this case. This is a cross post war with the use of original parts (set up and frame) and the post-war (core).
                      Of course, IMO.
