        Difficult to say .
Being an early cross the core most likely was treated or coated before painting and then assembled . Paint surfaces were touched up at times if needed to be .
The top left corner shows a 2 tone color layer - with out seeing it up close hard to be sure what it is .

Maybe you're right, but as well it might be the specifics of pictures ...

I do not know... for a correct assessment, however, I would like to get better pictures ...

                  Nice original.

                  Not repainted IMO.

It's a lot of money, but considering the rarity....
The 2nd class is already way over 1000E.....

I would also say that this isn't repainted imo, because I have seen Straigt 9's with both glossy and matte paint like this. It looks in my opinion more like veins in the paint and if you look closely on the frame the similar darker spots can be found outside the frame as patina or dirt.
The one part where there is clearly a difference in color (right side above the Swastica), what I see only the metall being seen as a result of very minor paintlos

It is a good cross. Dansson do you have the cross in hand, if so then you can determine if it is in fact original paint and with veins in the paint instead of what I thought as a repainted core. My cross has a lot of paint loss to make a comparison. Jim
