    Knight's Cross Assistence Requested

    Gentlemen:

What do we have here? There are no numbers or hallmarks on the cross or ring. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Best regards to all,

    Clay

It does not look like an S&L to me, in fact it looks like a one piece cast cross- see the inner corners of the frame seem to be connected to the swastika.
              Just my humble opinion.
              Regards - Danny

Well spotted. It's a cast of one by the looks.

Even with the top left corner of the 1 and top right of the 9 of the 1939 date joining the frame?

It´s not original! Does it matter who made the fake? Really!

Apologies if I my pedantic nature has upset anyone, but I do know tht many people would like to purchase a post war S&L RK as a filler, and they can be relatively expensive in their own right, whereas a cheaper fake would not command the equivalent sum.
Clay asked "what do we have here?" And if he did want to buy (or sell) the cross assuming it was indeed an S&L, then I feel he should know what he is dealing with. (Iindeed it has been pointed out that someone was trying to send him a PM, potential buyer perhaps?)

                          Regards - Danny

Oh, you don´t have to apologize for that. IMO. I know different people collect different ways, it´s just that for most collectors a fake is a fake, no matter what.
