May I have help on a RK?

When they did the estate of Albert Kesselring more than 35 ago (he died in 1960) one of his RK (out of 3 or 5) was separated from the original group and sold to a member of this forum
    It is a "regular" 800/L12

Now this RK is mine I wonder if people have good portraits close ups of Albert Kesselring where we can recognize this rk?
    Thanks

    * Of course I can make more pics

it is quite certain that Kesselring had more than one Ritterkreuz. But on all pictures that i know he wears his early zinc-core-Juncker RK with unfinished inner edges; the type he received on Sept. 30th 1939. By studying his pictures one can even recognize how the paint on the zinc core slowly wore off; similar like the one of Werner Baumbach.

Also if that might be his Ritterkreuz and also if he even wore it it will be hard to recognize this specific RK unless you find the right picture in the right resolution with the right cross.

Nevertheless it is a very nice RK! May you post some pictures of the suspension-loop?

As usual to these crosses, not an original Junckers clasp. Neverteless a lovely set!

Exactly what do you mean? That the cross in post #12 actually is Kesselring´s or just an early one?

Ha. And what does our new cross expert say these are?

Hi Brian S and Ludwig, I am far to be an RK expert but I own a collection of 8 good RKs including 2 "Lazy 2" examples and I do not see here a typical Junckers clasp, the one on discussion has round terminals and Junkers are sharp. Also my crosses does not have typical Junckers clasps...

Sorry for the low quality photos!

This is a Junkers RK with a proper suspension clasp:

So it's the Ribbon Ring you don't like. Thought you meant cross. Can't speak to the ribbon attachment device as being Juncker or not.

Yes of course I was talking about the suspension clasp or "Ribbon Ring" as you say! The RK itself is 100% genuine and looks great!
