    Karl Hensler EK2

I have read around in various forums that Karl Hensler did not make the EK2 even though there are EK2 envelopes marked for this firm.

What's the story? Is it because they are not identified as no pkz number for this firm has been found on an EK2?

What about all the packets out there? What EK2 can be found in them?

Was thinking why not all of us with a Karl Hensler package show here the EK2 that come in it? Might prove interesting...

      Hi Rich,

I remember a couple of years ago i went to a fair here,i saw a couple of EKii packets and took a closer look, when i looked at the back i saw it was Hensler marked and also that there was an award inside,i thought to myself "Now this will be interesting" so i asked the dealer if the cross inside was Hensler also,"Oh yes he said with a smirky grin" when i opened packet there was a Hensler marked SA Sports badge inside

I just walked away from the idiot

        Hi guys

This is the cross that came in mine:

It is said to be a S&L but there is a feature that is not S&L where there is a countersunk hole to hold the end of the small loop...

So maybe Hensler used the S&L dies? Maybe there is no connection but just waiting to see what other crosses have appeared in Hensler packets.

Sorry, but I have negative feelings from time to time to see some new set (the cross and envelope) from unknown manufacturer EK2.
So much of it already was, and discussions around these sets as well.
No effect, because it would rather be not ...

          (photos are not mine)

Yes your negativity is certainly one way to kill a thread. Thank you both Jarek and Sanya.

BTW the Hammesfahr set is mine. It would be nice if you asked for permission before showing it.

                Hi Rich,
Sorry for lawlessness, but I thought that for the sake of the discussion is acceptable. Besides, I pointed out clearly that it was not my pictures.

But of course nothing more what is yours is not published by me

To get this back on track...

Hensler are clearly an EK2 maker:

Just because you have never found one marked is no reason to say they do not exist. So I ask again for all those who have a set to post it and lets see if there is a trend.

I agree. This is a totally legitimate process and two EK2 makers have been identified (cautiously) this way:

Grüni (grueni) identified the correct Paulmann & Crone EK2, and I identified the correct Moritz Hausch EK2, by spending years collecting photos from other members and dealer updates of packeted sets ostensibly from untouched groupings. A low-energy effort is underway to do the same for Schmidhäußler EK2s.

Once a critical mass of matched sets appears, a reasonable conclusion can be drawn about the correct type.

                    I wish I had a Hensler set to contribute, but I don't.
                    Best regards,

Discussions on the "new" (not yet identified) manufacturers crosses EK2 still come back ...
                      http://184.172.36.50/forums/showthre...hlight=HENSLER

In most of them there is one problem - there are no specific arguments to identify such a producer. Same single set of the cross (even unidentified) + envelope (often bought with some dealer) does not mean anything and it is not confirmation of any thesis.
                      Of course IMO.
Unfortunately, on the original sets of proven descent from veteran it is already currently very difficult, and only in such a situation we would have real proof.
