Or would you say that you now have seen a genuine Juncker late loop with different tips and your knowledge horizon has been expanded?

The unmarked KC posted has an original 800 Juncker sprungring as seen on 800 marked Junckers. As far as I Know there were 2 types of loops with different tip finish used for the 800 and 800 dot crosses. From the picture provided I don't believe it is a late loop! I need to see a better picture.

    Best regards

      Hi Kevin,

but that is not the point at all. The point earlier was, whether a certain type of loop tip is:

      a) genuine, and
      b) fitting to the cross

It has been asserted that this cross in this thread has a "no good" (Kraut) and "wrong tip and wrong font" (you). Now we have at least established by the other thread that not every Lazy 2 must have a loop with a tip that is defined as "late" on a cross that is late (or at least transitional to late). That makes sense since nobody could say with even one shred of certainty or evidence that Juncker started to use a "new" tip design when ,marking the crosses "2".
I completely agree with you that there is a correlation between tip style and cross style with Juncker (and others) - I show that in my book. However, I would never go as far as you go and say, that a certain loop is "wrong" or even "no good."

As has been said by some experienced collectors here in this thread and in others, it is not really possible to make such a statement with certainty.

I now understand your point of view and what you are trying to explain.
