By the way, his father, Ernst Freiherr von Forstner, was a PLM w/Oaks winner in the First War, as regimental commander of the Baden 109th Leipgrenadiere.

Runs in the family, I guess...

Son Siegfried was KIA on Oct 13, 1943.

The cross is normal size. Siegfried was one of the "Wee Folk". Fit in quite well with the U-boot crowd, actually!
