    WW1 1914 EK1 Marked "A" Assmann for Review

Pay no attention to the EK2 behind the EK1

Looking for any info on this EK1. Its the first german medal I ever bought. Marked "800" under the catch, and "A" on the inside of the pin. Ive been able to find references on EK1 lists to Assmann examples but have yet to find another actual example online. Can someone please verify this as good for me? Whats the value? I am looking to sell.

It was brought back by a WW2 Veteran.

    Thanks in advance!

      Hi,

Try searching for "800 V" or "800 Y" examples and you'll find a lot more.

Nice original EK1 but imo this marking has nothing to do with Assmann.

      Regards
      Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

I agree, IMO this signature has nothing to do with Assmann.

This cross has nothing to do with the Wehrmacht either. It should be down in Imperial.

Can anyone please help me value the piece? It is definitely a "Y" upon closer inspection
