    Cased EK Spange - thoughts?

Need better eyes than mine on this award. Would like to purchase, but do not believe it to be authentic to period. Has square button, but connection device inside case looks shiny and new. Perhaps being too hard on it, but lots of good fakes out there. Thoughts?

        case

I believe the case is fake because of the date style, it you can get the bottom out it should be stamped 622DB. Would like better pictures of the spange straight on and a side shot of the pin. Jim

Both pieces are fake in my opinion.
          Best regards,

Also for me both are fake.

Here the link of the discussion about this fake spange:

Dont know anything about cases but its very different than the one mine came in. As far as the spange is concerned I agree with the others is a repro of the Schmidthaussler (unknown maker to others). There are other differences but the easy tell, even on far away pictures, is that the repro has an additional line on the lower legs (that I call "pant cuffs" ) not present on originals of this design (but correct on others like Deumer EKI spanges)

              Regards
