The last original one that I saw in Hermann Historica Auction had a base price of € 6,000 !!

but, if the EK is fake anyway… BOOM! forget about it

I think the EKI is a copy of an original EKI KAG Cross.

Think like a con: Would you use an EK1 copy/fake to mate with an original spange? Nope, not when Imperial EK1s are easy to get...

I just went through the Imperial database looking for possible matches to the
Ek. I could only find to possible matches to that core style. Both are
2nd class crosses. Maker marked "K" and "RW".
