    Hey there, does this one look authentic?

    Very short 'fins' - can't say ? Looks like aluminum - ??
    Any way finding out if it has metric threading ?

        Well ... if you have another original EK1 with disk you can try ... probably have . ... if it has the same size opening .
        Imperial treading will fit very sloppy at first and will tighten up quickly as the threading starts to bind .... use any nut you can find at your place .
        Will eliminate one type of post war substitute only - just a start .

          It looks promising to me.

          Different makers used different screw thread sizes, so it will not fit just any EK1. If you're buying it as a replacement for a lost disc, prepare to be potentially disappointed.
