Exactly what is the Buntmetall............and why a buntmetall badge is less valued than a non-buntmetall?

Buntmetall : Non ferrous metal, like copper, brass......
Kriegsmetall: is war metal, dark grey alloy of zinc, copper and lead.

Buntmetall badges are higher valued than for example zinc badges. One reason for that is that the silver plating or the bronce stayed better on them than on zinc badges.
